About the person:
Ivana Slavkovic is a psychodrama psychotherapist, trainer, and supervisor with the
Institute for Psychodrama in Belgrade, Serbia. She has worked both nationally and internationally as a psychodrama therapist and trainer.
With 25 years of experience applying the psychodrama method in both clinical and non-clinical settings, Ivana's work focuses particularly on clients who have suffered emotional and psychological trauma due to extraordinary (social) conditions such as war, torture, refugee experiences, and gender-based/domestic violence.
She is an expert in gender-based and domestic violence and has developed training programs for professional development in this area.
Ivana has dedicated over 18 years to the
European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), with 14 of those years serving in the role of Registrar. In March 2025, she was honored with the title of Honorary President of EAP.
Through her work with the European Association for Psychotherapy and the Institute for Psychodrama, Ivana contributed to reconciliation efforts in the post-war Western Balkans, including co-authoring a program aimed at fostering healing and trust.
Additionally, Ivana served as a guest lecturer on Psychodrama psychotherapy at the Sigmund Freud University in Vienna, Austria, from 2007 to 2013.

Mit 25 Jahren Erfahrung in der Anwendung der Psychodrama-Methode in klinischen und nicht-klinischen Kontexten liegt ihr besonderer Fokus auf der Arbeit mit Klient:innen, die aufgrund außergewöhnlicher (sozialer) Umstände wie Krieg, Folter, Fluchterfahrungen sowie geschlechtsbasierter und häuslicher Gewalt emotionales und psychisches Trauma erlitten haben.
Sie ist Expertin auf dem Gebiet der geschlechtsbasierten und häuslichen Gewalt und hat Fortbildungsprogramme für Fachkräfte in diesem Bereich entwickelt.
Ivana ist seit über 18 Jahren in der Europäischen Vereinigung für Psychotherapie (EAP) engagiert, davon 14 Jahre als Registrar. Im März 2025 wurde ihr der Titel der Ehrenpräsidentin der EAP verliehen.
Durch ihre Arbeit in der Europäischen Vereinigung für Psychotherapie und am Institut für Psychodrama hat Ivana zur Versöhnung in der postkriegsgeprägten Region des westlichen Balkans beigetragen, unter anderem als Mitautorin eines Programms zur Förderung von Heilung und Vertrauen.
Darüber hinaus war Ivana von 2007 bis 2013 Gastdozentin für Psychodrama-Psychotherapie an der Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität in Wien, Österreich.
